CONCEPT
"Act of Love" is a brand campaign built around three main pillars: an encyclopedia of animal courtship behavior, a website based on that encyclopedia, and a video production. I was primarily responsible for the core concept, planning, art direction, and design. Additionally, I supervised the editing, copywriting, and writing for the encyclopedia, as well as the spatial design for the exhibition at Hillside Terrace.
Animal courtship has been a thematic subject I have studied for over ten years since my student days. All creatures engage in reproductive behaviors, and the courtship behaviors that precede them are incredibly dramatic and fundamentally tell the story of biological origins.
This primal theme became a strong brand concept when developing the campaign, which received international recognition, including awards such as D&AD.
The world’s first courtship encyclopedia, supervised by experts, was not just a temporary campaign; it was widely distributed to various libraries and schools around the world, including the British Library in the UK, and continues to live on to this day.
